Hi there, i discoverd a bug in the latest version. If i browse to a folder containing > 40 mp3 files the application crashes. I dont know of you are aware of this bug..
HI, please check if there is some sort of special character it that folder. The app takes care of special characters but it could be that someone is left out. The app has been tested with folders over 1000 files and work fines.

I have a Popcorn A200. I select a PCH 100 Series (only connect this). I see my media files because i can't started them. I click the play button, and don't do anything. I have a Iphone 4 with IOS5.

HDX 1000 and EGM34 works like pch A110. Busybox26 should be installed correctly and the settings from the NMT App, for busybox26 location, should be Hard disk (if installed on hard disk) and /bin
busybox26 is used to play the selected files so it is required.
Hi, just bought your app. Found a few things not working (C200)... 1) If the app attempts to connect to a share that can't be resolved the app crashes. 2) If the app attempts to connect to a USB device it crashes 3) Change Source to SATA (after attempting to connect to failed USB) app crashes. After each crash the only way to stop the app continually crashing when you reopen is to reboot the NMT, then restart the app. ??

I just bought your app. I have eGreat M34A (no hard disk connected, i just play everything from my pc) and iphone 3G. I can connect with the app to the NMT, use Remote functions, but every time i try to go to Media or Sources, the app crashes. Am I doing something wrong?
Well, i did it with usb flash drive (that's how i ran telnet), so it was one of the sources listed on NMT (visible in TV). U just checked on more thing. When i'm not connected to any NMT and go to Media / Sources, the app crashes (it just disappears).
Hi, I just bought your app and got things installed on my popcorn A110. The remote is working fine but the rest doesn't. I have installed telnedd 1.14.1 via csi and i am running your application on iPhone 4gs I can brows files i can use remote to navigate on screen but when i try to play some mp3 its start buffering but never starts play. I ma using toslink to bring digital audio signs to my receiver.

Yes, busybox26 is required for the pch 100 series. The easiest way to install is through the community software installer (csi) http://www.nmtinstaller.com/
After installing the software, on your pc, you can install telnet on the pch which installs busybox26 also
My app is crashing constantly. I get the startup screen with the logo and then it crashes! I have the most recent version according to app store, and im running IOS 5.0.1. I think it started after upgrading my IOS
So it was working and after sometime it started crashing. Have you tried to delete the app reinstall it? Also, just to know, do you have an pch 100 or 200 series box?
Yes, it was working at first. Yesterday i tried to delete it and reinstall it via app store. after this it worked partly. the app wasn't crashing but first letter in folder names wasn't showing and i could see no content in folders. today it crashes again like it did before...I have a A200 box
Do you have local and remote sources? Does it do the same on both? Does your source name include spaces? Also, are you using the latest a200 firmware? (surely i guess not a beta release). Sorry for asking, but have have changed also the default pch device to A 200.

I've got a 2.5 and 3.25 inch HDD installed, the 2.5 is the share and has the NMT apps on it. On the 2.5 inch I've got a folder music with subfolders. Both harddisks can be accessed from my Win7 PC by: \\[IP]

Only three things still missing, hope you'll integrate these soon. All of them involve playlist generating: - I'd still like to see to add whole albums to a playlist instead of having to select every single file - It would be great if the playlists generated with the NMT Remote could be stored on the "source" (in my case my NAS) - And finally, as you already know, I would really love to see a way to have "flexible playlists". Consider the way the Logitech Squeezebox Remote operates: while playing an album or playlist, you can just browse to any track you'd like, and than choose when to play that one (1. right now, so the track that was being played is stopped, 2. after the current track finishes, 3. at the end of the playlist or 4. even somewhere in between)
I'm working on a re-design of the play and 'Now playing' so item 1 and maybe 2 will be in the next update. For No.3 i don't know if it's feasible, since the pch needs to be updated with a dynamic playlist, but i'll look into it.
Now I find out that Shoutcast is (still) not working properly. I also found out that my favourite radiostation (3FM from The Netherlands) will be switching from Shoutcast to Icecast. Which brings me to the question: perhaps a better way of getting access to internetradio through the NMT Remote would be possilbe? Or is that an unachievable goal? I like the way the Squeezebox Remote accesses internet radio (nationally and globally). What's your idea, Teo?
I hope TuneIn radio gets possible on the PCH. It's so much nicer than shoutcast. That's what Squeezebox uses (next to shoutcast). I made a suggestion to the PCH helpdesk and a thread on their forum.
I'm no radio guy and i looked into shoutcast as a good solution since pch was using it.
Shoutcast has changed the api gone to version 2 and multiple attempts to contact them in order in incorporate the new api have failed with no response.
I will have to look at other services as you have suggested.

As a citizen of The Netherlands, I don't want to have to scroll down dozens of Turkish and German obscure radiostations in order to find the big Dutch radiostations, as is the case in Shoutcast. TuneIn radio is capable of separating the local/national radiostations.
Hello, the app chrashes everytime I try to access "media" or "source". Shoutcast and remote works fine. No chance to access nmt hard disk. Telnetd installed via CSI up and running, busybox26 in /bin, latest firmware on PCH-A110. IPod touch 2G 8GB with iOS 4.2.1. A few months ago it worked very well, then something crashed and I had to reinstall complete hard disk. I have no idea. Please help.
I have an iPad 2 with iOS 5.1 and a pch c200. Everything works fine exept full keyboard. The keyboard appears on the iPad but the letters doesn't appear on the pch. Then I press a letter at the iPad it moves the curser to the right at the pch keybord.

I'll try to fix these problems as soon as possible and issue an update.

Deletewhat do you see in the sources tab of the app. Do the two HDD show up there? You just have to select the source you wish to browse.

Hi, Greate App. But it crashes when Latin chars are used. Ex. À, á, ã, õ, ... Any of these will crash the app.

ReplyDeleteafter the last update for iOS 5 support i confirmed a problem with older iOS version 4.2.1 for iPhone 3G and older devices.
This has been fixed and i have uploaded an update that is in review. It should be available in the following days.
