Is there a way of delting a media file off the internal drive on a pch A200 using this app? If so this would be perfect for me.

ReplyDeleteno there isn't. Not that it can't be implemented. It could be dangerous though for users that think it will delete the file from list requiring confimation alerts what's going to happen.

I cannot use the product on Popcorn Hour A110, as the Play button or ENTER button is not working.

ReplyDeletePlease check the settings from the nmt app. If you have installed telnetd on you internal hard disk the busybox26 location in the settings tabs should be

/bin
busybox26 is required for play execution.

How many files are in the music folder? I've tested this with a 2500 files in one folder and it works fine.
Check also if there are any sort of special characters. Maybe some character hasn't been taken into account.

ReplyDeleteis the music directory the shared network name? Is so and there is a space in the network name use one without a space. This is a bug that hasn't been fixed yet.
If not try creating a new music directory and slowly copying of just creating your empty 100 folders.

Video file can be browsed and played. However, music and photo cannot be browsed and played. And Network sources cannot show myihome server.

Crashes when I try to view my movies folder. All other folders ar fine. Difference being that the movies folder is the largest. Share is via nfs-tcp all films from other smaller folders (kids, series etc) play fine.

There are 206 folders. Longest folder name is 70 characters including spaces. Looking through the folder name they can include the following characters ' ( ) . - è

As for long directory listings i have tested it with directories having over than 2500 files.

I´m using the app on an iPad(1) with my HDX-1000.
The folder browsing does not work.
The folder names are messed up, check the screenshot:

When entering one folder, it shows like it´s empty.
But if I change the settings to PCH100 the folder names are ok and browsing works.

I haven't used the Yamj, i have some sort of movie jukebox but is just plain html and css.
Also i haven't heard about this king of problem from anyone else.
Which pch do you have? What do mean 'when the app gets used in flash'? Are these flashed based skins? As far as i know pch doesn't support flash. Youtube, bbc iPlayer, etc., are alternative apps.

ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if I can use your remote control app to be able to operate my PCH C-200 from my backyard. I use JBL wireless outdoor speakers, and want to be able to operate the PCH, which is of course indoors, without having to go back in the house everytime I want to do so.
Since the RF remote is able to work through walls/windows, and without pointing, that could have been a good solution, but the lack of display of course makes it useless. I've downloaded the Popcorn Hour Remote by Alchemy, but that one has severe limitations: when you u browse through your music database, you can just tap on a track, and then the PCH plays that single track. You can't choose "Play" instead of "Enter" to have the entire album played. I can't reach the developer of that track.
Before I spend anymore time and money on your app: is your app able to play an entire album when tapping on a single track (or otherwise)?

ReplyDelete'Enter' and 'Play' functions are supported on files. With 'Enter' NMT plays the selected file, while 'Play' plays the whole directory from the selected files.
Among other things you can create also playlist.

ReplyDeleteGot the response I wanted, installed the NMT installer, installed the Lundman shell on my USB-stick (since I don't have an internal HDD). Works okay, I get a connection there between the iPad app and the PCH!
ReplyDeleteBut I can't see my Diskstation (Synology NAS) under Network Sources. I read that I'm supposed to add these in network share: http://188.138.72.109/showthread.php?tid...pid=477225
But for some reason, when I find my Diskstation while browsing for network sources to add, and I want to click on it to add it, it says "No content on server (or something similar, have to translate from Dutch )
I have NFS and FTP enabled on my NAS. I feel like I'm getting close to making this work. Any advice on the problem above?
How can I access Shoutcast radio with NMT remote? don't tell me you didn't include that option!

Also, I wonder if it will be possible to add entire albums to a playlist, without having to select every single song seperately.

I'm not exactly familiar with the term dynamic playlist, but yeah, that would be a good description.
ReplyDeleteI hope to see an option to select a (couple of) file(s), while playing a playlist, and have those files fit in the playlist as it is being played.
The Jukebox interface of NMT has that option, as you probably know very well ("add to queue", "add to playlist" among the options of a song). I just hope the app gets that same option as well.
It makes for a much more interactive experience at garden parties, you know. People shouting stuff they wanna here, that can be added with a couple of taps on your iPad or iPhone, without having to go inside and turn the TV on. (My PCH C-200 is connected to a couple of wireless outdoor speakers)
How about being able to add entire albums to a playlist, Teo?
Addition: The advantage of having the option to "queue" instead of making playlists dynamic/flexible, is that the existing playlists remain undisturbed.

-I have a playlist, made with your app, that contains all the songs of Foo Fighters from their various albums. Let's say I suddenly feel the urge to play a song by Adele in the middle of playing that playlist. I don't want that Adele song fitted into the Foo Fighter playlist "permanently". I just want it to play on this occasion.
- I want to be able to queue a song not only while playing a playlist, but also while playing an album
- If possible I even wanna queue a song in the middle of a m3u playlist.

ReplyDeleteI hear you loud and clear. I had a look at this with the A-110 but it wasn't possible. At some point it caught my eye that this can be done with the pch-200.

ReplyDeleteI just found out that the playlists generated with your app have serious limitations.
When you play an album with your app, you can click another song, press play, and then it plays that other song. When you play a playlist, you can't click another song. You can just see the songs that will be played in order. I would like to be able to go to any song within that playlist.
This is a much more "basic" functionality than my previous request about those queues. I hope you can fix this.
Just got the update. Unfortunately no improvements on the "flexibility" of the playlists. Hopefully next time?

No, this was just an update a few bugs. Playlists/Queues haven't been added yet.
ReplyDeleteCue file support is for the cue-flac single file extraction. Playing from the cue file navigation functions work, next/previous track, while playing the single file it's not possible.

I have an iPad 1 with this app installed, LundmanShell installed and running on NMT. Everytime I go into the app and choose ShoutCast, it scans for a few seconds, and then list page remains blank, as if it cannot pull data about stations, genres, etc. Am I missing something ?? Tried Primary Genre, All Genre, Top 500, but all are blank. I am able to see my NMT (C200), and even read contents off of the attached USB, so connection seems fine over the network. Any ideas ?? ReplyDeleteThere have been changes in the Shoutcast API Version 1.0 and for sometime now it's not working. At sometime it was fixed but then again it stopped working. This hasn't to do anything with the app but the service itself. I have sent several mails to find a solution but until now there hasn't been one.
