For some reason I don't see my smb shares under network resources . I have a popcornhour c-200 and an ipad 3 and am successfully connected via nmt remote. The files are on a whs 2011 and the shares are password protected. I have added them to my c-200 and can browse them manually using the normal popcornhour UI, but I don't see them on the nmt remote. Any ideas whats wrong?

ReplyDeleteBought and installed the app on my iPhone. Installed Lundman Shell on the C-200 internal drive, ran netcat (windows) and got the "Spawning" reply. But no data in the Sources tab. Tried rebooting the Popcorn Hour - still nothing.
If you can come up with an idea, I would appreciate it.

ReplyDeleteI have just installed the App on an IPAD 3 and am using it with a PopcornHour C200.
Eveything works perfectly, however when I try to open a folder wich contains over 600 folders the App crashes.
Is this a know issue? Are there certain charactars wich are not supported?

ReplyDeleteAs you know I was very pleased with your recent update that made it possible to play (nearly) all of my files on my NAS, no matter what filetype or path.
Yesterday I got into a new kind of error. When trying to open/play a certain track it just wouldn't, not even when pressing Enter instead of Play. On the little PCH screen you can see it goes to "music", than get stuck. The app itself works fine, I can turn the PCH on and off, scroll through menus etc, but it just won't open that file. Also, after it gets stuck suddenly I have a lot of trouble opening my music library, I have to refresh "Sources", and even then my music folder is suddenly empty. I've tried rebooting the PCH a couple of types, closed and restarted the app a few times, restarted my iPhone a couple of times and even restarted my router. It got me out of where I was stuck, but as soon as I select a certain track I'm stuck again in the same way.
It's strange, after getting it to work again, I can play some files without problem, but with some it just gets stuck. There's one particular album that always gets stuck (that's how I found out about this error, because I wanted to play that album).
Can you help me with this, or do you need additional information? I thought your app was flawless by now, so this is kind of a bummer

Some of them have lot's of files, some don't.

the only part of this app wich is going on "well" is the remote part...
I've a pch 100 (firmware up to date), the app is up to date too and my iphone runs under ios 5.1 (no jb)

ReplyDeleteI've been forced to rollback my A210 firmware to the version of May 2011 (02-04-110519-21-POP-411-000) due to some connection issues with my NAS. The only problem that remains is that I cannot access any sources via the nmt remote app anymore. It connects, but no sources are available. Do you have a version that I can download that corresponds to mu firmware version?
Or do you have some other ideas how to resolve this issue?

Nevermind that last one Teo, got it sorted after all...
ReplyDeleteTurned out my NFS Server on the NMT was off. BTW, I was trying to find some step by step instructions for getting the app to work in different situations (local HD, Networ storage, etc) Couldn't find it. Am I missing something?

ReplyDeleteI could connect and use the remote and shoutcast functions, but couldn't start a file when browsing sources.
After rebooting and running from internal memory instead of USB A1, it worked fine.
Some feature request I'd like to make.
* View what's currently playing
* Be able to use content created by YAMY. The are html files that enable me to browse trough my movie collection.
* Search function in the currently active folder. When browsing music, I got a huge list to scroll into.

Please add functionality to search & add Shoutcast stations by their ID number. Not all stations show up on the genre list although they can be found at shoutcast.com. Please also add "All Stations" to the 'Favorites/Primary Genre/All Genre/Top500' view as searching by station name from the genre lists is not possible.
ReplyDeleteThe app also seems to crash often when browsing Shoutcast genre lists (ipad2 w/ ios 5.1), not sure if this has to do with a genre list containing no entries.
